Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need a street works permit?

You’ll need a permit if your scaffolding occupies any part of the public highway, including pavements and roads. We handle all permit applications for you, typically requiring 2-3 weeks notice.

If scaffolding needs to overhang a neighbour’s property, you’ll need their permission. We can advise on the best approach and help with any neighbour consultations required.

Local authority permit fees are passed on at cost. We don’t add handling fees. Typical permits range from £50-£200 depending on duration and location.

Most local authorities require 10-15 working days notice for standard applications. Emergency applications may be possible at additional cost.
